It seems we are now in the count down for the end of the year and A LOT is happening!
Important dates coming up:
What we are studying this Quarter
5th: Studying weather and body systems and practice/review work for Science EOG.
6th: Working on the Graduation project: Imaginary Island; which is a culmination of basically what they have learned in their Elementary years in Science, culture, math and writing to design and create an imaginary island that has everything needed to exist!

It seems we are now in the count down for the end of the year and A LOT is happening!
Important dates coming up:
- Tuesday 4/24: Spring MAP Reading Test
- Tuesday 4/24 is also Parents Ed Night. I will be presenting Science in Upper Elementary this time. The presentation will be held in our classroom.
- Wednesday 4/25 MAP Math TEST
- Friday April 27th is our Outdoor Movie Night. Please bring your blanket and come join us!
- 4/30 Science Fair projects due and presentations. Parents are welcome to attend, just let me know beforehand so we can accommodate you and have your child go whenever you are here!
- An important reminder: Please encourage your child to practice their Latin lists and prepare well for their Thursday weekly test and keep working on their Edgenuity online practice. In the classroom students started reviewing their ELA and Math Standards daily through guided lessons in preparation of the EOGs.
- Our class will celebrate Earth Day every week! We will have small projects going on till the end of the year. This week each student will plant her/his own seed and watch it grow as they are making observations, measuring growth and taking notes on their science notebooks. Next week we will preparing and packing our lunches in reusable containers with the least disposable packing and throwing out the least waste. We will keep recording data for each student and announce the “Earth Keepers” by Friday, May 4th.
- We are in dire need of pencils!! Our class stock is officially at the zero mark!!. Please send your child with what they need or donate some to our class community.
